Two RVs. Eight friends. 3,054 miles of America's strangest roadside attractions, natural wonders, and questionable food decisions.
"The Lost Order of the Iguana sends forth its delegation to spread joy, consume roadside snacks, and photograph suspiciously large statues."
Explore the JourneyWhat Is the Iguana Transit Authority?
The Iguana Transit Authority is a specially assembled expedition team — eight friends on a mission to cross America in two RVs, stopping at every bizarre roadside attraction, natural wonder, and "World's Largest" thing we can find.
This isn't just a road trip. It's a pilgrimage through the weird heart of America — from Chicago's skyline to San Francisco's fog, via concrete dinosaurs, underground caves, salt flats, geysers, and more giant animals than any person should see in a lifetime.
"We have no fixed plan beyond these 23 destinations. What happens between stops is anyone's guess. What we do have is snacks, vibes, and aggressive optimism."

23 Stops of Adventure
From Chicago to San Francisco, through caves, salt flats, national parks, and more giant roadside animals than you can count.

Chicago
Deployment Point
The Authority assembles in the Windy City. Deep dish pizza will be consumed. Delegates will argue about whether it's actually pizza. The journey begins regardless.
- ★Home to the first-ever Ferris wheel (1893 World's Fair)
- ★The Chicago River flows backwards — they reversed it in 1900
- ★Deep dish was invented here in 1943. Arguments about it have lasted since 1944.
Meet Your Chariots
Two El Monte RV Sunseekers will carry our brave delegates across 8 states. They're not luxury Prevosts, but they'll do the job with character.

"The elders considered luxury Prevost motorcoaches at $2,000/night. After review, they noted that sleeping in a $2,000/night bus does not make the Corn Palace any more or less made of corn."
The Sunseeker was deemed "adequate for legends in the making."

"Three weeks. $3,010. A lifetime of stories about that time you saw the world's largest carousel with zero horses."
